The orange ball

An aussie in japan tries to buy the baseball sized anti-robber dye markers at convenience stores in japan. I love the panicked reactions as the staff are like “WTF is this crazy gaijin doing?”

Catalogs

I don’t smoke. I don’t like the smell, and I don’t like being around folks that are smoking, or smell of having recently smoked. But once a year or so I get a cigar/tobacco/tobacco paraphenalia catalog, and I always find it absolutely fascinating.

I don’t know exactly why, all the verbiage about “dominican grown cuban seed”, fancy lighters which seem to have a copper screen in there to make the flames green, cedar humidors etc… Something about that catalog is really interesting. Except, you know, I don’t like the odor smoking, not to mention the health problems.

But if I had to smoke something from the catalog, I think I’d pick one of those Man with No Name style cheroots, a la Sergeo Lorenti spaghetti westerns.
