I can't believe he actually said that…

The coworker who’s wife has a bun in the oven called and left a message at
3:30am that the bun is on his way out, so he won’t be in. It started out
coherently, but got a bit more distracted, and ended with “I’m really nervous,
my wife is having a baby.”

Good luck guys! I know what the middle of the night trip to the hospital is like.

What have they done?

The current incarnation of the fisher-price castle is nowhere near as cool as the one I had when
I was little
. The towers open to make a courtyard towards the front. Yes,
you heard that right, the drawbridge lowers down into the courtyard, which is
exposed.

How are you supposed to resist a siege when the front of all your rooms is
open? What happened to having the back of the castle open?

Fortunately, we also have the oldstyle castle, which had the moat and trapdoor
and hidden chamber behind the stairs, and secret passage into the cave. Now
that was some cool castling!

For what it’s worth, V is having rather a lot of fun with the new lil kingdom stuff
she got for her birthday, so we’ll forgive it for benig blasphemous.

Jacket sale at Dillards

We were at U-mall on saturday and noticed Dillards had a clearance sale on
mens fall/winter/spring jackets. By jackets I mean “brrr, it’s cold out, I think
I’ll put on a jacket” type jackets, not “I need to dress up” jackets. They had a variety of types, including a smattering of leather jackets, all for 75% off, which
put them at reasonable prices.

Enter through the Dillards entrance that faces the Harris Teeter side of the mall,
and bear towards the right. The racks of jackets are in the menswear section
that faces the childrens clothes.

Why can't he end stories properly?

I just finished watching Stephen Kings Kingdom Hospital. from netflix.
(****spoiler warning****)

It was going ok, even up until the last ten minutes of the series. Things were
coming together, they were revealing the story of the tragedy that had
happened on the location back in 1869, and there was a plausibly cool
explanation for wtf the anteater was doing, even if it did look like a ripoff of the
sandman comic book when it was being human. Then it all turned to crap in the
last 5 minutes.
